Can you travel with GLP-1 injections on a plane?
Yes. You can fly with GLP-1 injections and the needles required to use them. Carry medication in your carry-on (not checked luggage, where it can freeze), keep it cool with an insulated case and cold pack, and bring your prescription label or paperwork. Declare medically necessary items at security if asked.
Keep it in your carry-on
Checked baggage can freeze at altitude, which can damage the medication. Keep injectables with you in the cabin in an insulated cooler with a cold pack to maintain a safe temperature.
Security and documentation
Injectable medication and needles are permitted for medical use. Keep the pharmacy label or prescription documentation handy, and let security know you are carrying medically necessary items and cooling packs.
