Was retatrutide part of the 2026 FDA peptide vote?

No. Retatrutide was not one of the seven substances reviewed at the July 2026 Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee meeting. It remains a separate investigational drug in clinical trials and is not FDA-approved.

Different track entirely

The July meeting concerned bulk drug substances for patient-specific compounding under Section 503A. Retatrutide is an investigational triple-agonist being studied in the new-drug approval pathway, which is a different regulatory process with different requirements.

The committee reviewed BPC-157, KPV, TB-500, MOTS-c, Epitalon, Semax, and Emideltide. It did not decide the status of every peptide marketed online for weight loss, healing, muscle growth, sleep, sexual health, or longevity.

What is available today
