Lose Weight for a Military Fitness Test

Whether it's a PT test, tape test, or MEPS — build a plan around the date, protect muscle, and pass.

Military test dates are usually fixed 4–24 weeks out. Here's what's realistic without hurting performance:

What is realistic in the time you have

Will GLP-1 medication hurt my run time or PT score?

Only if you underfuel. GOAL.MD plans keep protein at 0.7–1.0 g/lb of goal weight and preserve carbs around training. Most patients keep or improve run times as they drop weight because they're moving less mass.

Is GLP-1 medication allowed in the military?

Rules vary by branch and duty status. Talk to your unit medical provider before starting any prescription medication. GOAL.MD physicians will provide documentation for your records.

Important

GOAL.MD serves patients in all 50 US states. Which medication your physician can prescribe still depends on your state's rules, your medical evaluation, and pharmacy eligibility.

Compounded medications are prepared by licensed U.S. 503A/503B pharmacies. Compounded preparations are not FDA-approved.

GOAL.MD does not auto-bill compounded medication programs. Nothing reorders by itself and your card is only charged after you tell us to proceed. The Brand-Name GLP-1 Access program is the one exception: it is a $95/month physician-care membership that is billed automatically while you stay enrolled, and you can cancel any time before your next prescription or refill is authorized.
