Lose Weight for Your Wedding — A Physician-Built Plan

Whether you're the bride, groom, or in the wedding party, we'll show you exactly what's realistic — and what isn't — between today and the big day.

Most brides and grooms who start early see the best results. Here's what a physician-supervised plan typically looks like:

What is realistic in the time you have

How much weight can I realistically lose before my wedding?

It depends on your starting weight and how many weeks you have. Under physician supervision with a GLP-1 medication, most patients lose 0.8%–1.4% of body weight per week during the active titration phase. Our free Goal Date Planner does the math for your specific date and shows whether your target is realistic, aggressive, or unlikely on the timeline.

How far in advance of the wedding should I start?

Ideally 6–12 months. That window lets you titrate the medication slowly (fewer side effects), rebuild strength with protein and lifting, hit a milestone weight, and hold it through the final dress or suit fittings. Starting 8 weeks out still helps — just with a smaller realistic target.

Will I lose muscle and look drawn on wedding photos?

Only if you skip protein and skip lifting. Every GOAL.MD plan is built around protein targets (0.7–1.0 g/lb of goal weight), strength training 2–3x/week, and slow dose titration. That protects your face, arms, and shoulders — the parts every camera sees.

What if my dress or suit is already ordered?

Tell us your fitting date, not the wedding date. Then we build backward from the fitting so alterations land in the right window. The planner supports any target date — pick whichever milestone matters.

Important

GOAL.MD serves patients in all 50 US states. Which medication your physician can prescribe still depends on your state's rules, your medical evaluation, and pharmacy eligibility.

Compounded medications are prepared by licensed U.S. 503A/503B pharmacies. Compounded preparations are not FDA-approved.

GOAL.MD does not auto-bill compounded medication programs. Nothing reorders by itself and your card is only charged after you tell us to proceed. The Brand-Name GLP-1 Access program is the one exception: it is a $95/month physician-care membership that is billed automatically while you stay enrolled, and you can cancel any time before your next prescription or refill is authorized.
